Materials range from 1870 to 2017. Items remain in the original donated condition, some fragile items being covered or padded for protection. Provenance for a majority of the items is unknown, however, most of them pertain to Bristol small businesses (current and former).

Local artifacts, ephemera, and other three-dimensional objects that represent periods in Bristol’s history have been occasionally donated to the Grundy Archive for the Bristol History Collections. The items in this collection represent Bristol’s political, industrial, and cultural heritage that is captured through objects rather than paper records.
