Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Kaiser-Fleetwings Collection consists of materials relating to James M. Shimer's work as a technical illustrator for Kaiser-Fleetwings and general Fleetwings manuscript and photographic records. Materials range from 1870 to 2017. Items remain in the original donated condition, some fragile items being covered or padded for protection. Provenance for a majority of the items is unknown, however, most of them pertain to Bristol small businesses (current and former).

This collection is organized in the original received order from the donor as it came into the Grundy Archive. The collection consists of personal papers, photographs, and items that were handed down from the Hunter, Townsend, and Weagley families.
