Scope and Contents

The collection consists of eleven boxes of miscellaneous photographs of various dates, creators, and conditions, all pertaining to local Bristol history. Some photographs are copies with the status of the original prints and their provenance being unknown.

Photographs within this collection have been digitized and published to the Digital Collections website. Any that are photocopies have not been included online for publication, but can be viewed in the physical collection.

Abstract Joseph Edward Pavone (1928-2010) was an artist and prominent figure in the cultural and heritage community of Bristol, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The Joseph Edward Pavone papers, 1927-2000 (bulk 1960-1995), contain clippings, slides, photographs, notes, drawings, organizational records, and other materials relating to Pavone's life and work. Photographs and slides documenting Pavone's artistic work, particularly the Christopher Columbus monument, form the largest portion of the collection....
