Biographical / Historical

The Landreths, one of Bristol’s most prominent families, established the Landreth Seed Company in 1784 in Philadelphia and subsequently moved the business to the Bristol area in 1847. In addition to their innovations in agriculture and farming, descendants of the Landreth family went on to serve in the Civil War and contribute to the Bristol community, even organizing a twilight baseball league in the 1930’s and building Landreth Baseball Field.
